Research overview

My research lies in the wide field of (dynamical) model reduction, approximation, surrogate model construction and system identification, with a focus on (multivariate) rational approximation and associated numerical tools and software issues. The methods and numerical tools I develop are not dedicated to a specific application; rather they apply to a wide range of problems. These activities led to some contributions in:

  • Model- and Data-driven (dynamical) model reduction and (rational) approximation;
  • Tensor-driven multivariate rational approximation;
  • Dynamical system identification and approximation;
  • Appication to industrial dynamical systems control and analysis ($\mathcal H_\infty$, $\mathcal H_2$) .
